How long before I starve?

This was my last day in full time paid employment for the foreseeable future. I have seen what I want to spend my life doing and sitting in an office will not get me there. I have my savings, a bit of income from the band and comedy, no mortgage or rent and no children to support.
For the first time in my life since I started school:
I am a free woman!

I will be doing voluntary work, and working towards my boatmans licence.

When I got made redundant 8.5 years ago I went self employed and then spent 7 years paying of all my debts (apart from my mortgage) ........... its a nice feeling init.

Very true. I don't have a family but I do wonder how I, as a keen outdoor person ended up spending my working day sitting at a desk.
