I find myself having to zip it when i'm out with the group of cyclists i've joined. I tend to sit at the back so i can give the passing motorist a hand signal without any of the group seeing me do it. They seem laid back and ignore abuse, but i have to react and respond.

Chill, be happy....you are having fun riding your bike.
Reminds me of the old Harvey Penick golf story - girl came past him saying "i have to go play golf" and he told her that was not true, "you get to go play golf"
Unless you are forced to ride - same applies to cycling.........may swear and curse at the odd idiot along the way but overall, we get to ride

Yesterday it was six miles in when approached by two barking dogs, a very unpleasant intrusion into what had been a pleasant outing in fine weather in a scenic location.
Irresponsible dog owners

When cycling, road rage is a rare occurrence for me. For whatever reason I don't get into many confrontational situations; maybe it's down to where I do my cycling. I avoid big towns if possible, and if not then I use back roads or cycle paths where available (even Glasgow has plenty of them).
However, get me behind the wheel of anything motorised and I'll be lucky to get to the end of my street before some nobber does something worthy of a touch of colourful language.

im usually very calm when out on the bicycle. I dont let things get to me. If sh*t happens it happens. Just smile and let it go.

Different story when im out on the motorbike though, i have been known to take taxi wing mirrors off in birmingham.
