I bought a Morello tuther day [not a italian road bike] a cherry tree. I was going to get one with a dwarfing root stock so it doesnt get too big and cause problems but then thought i'll be dead so no worries! :okay:

Thing is who's gonna pay for the pensions and care home fees for all the CC members who are predicted to live well past 100??!! 🤔

Shaun?

you wouldn't even be the first cyclechatter to go that way.....

CYCLOPS!! 🤣

103 and and a dull death from digestive disease, whatever that is!

You ate too many digestive biscuits?

Bloody hell, that's a bolt from the blue.

More likely the grey, if it's also raining...

68? I had you down as being a lot younger

Yes, I have been doing a lot of maths on this thread, trying to figure out peoples ages from their descriptions!

Anyway, for me, it says I'll live until I'm 90 from Kidney disease, which will mean 2072 (I'm 43 now), but if I stop drinking, it will be 100, from Cardiovascular disease in 2082!

Not bad really as my gran lived until she was 93.

To be fair, yes my gran on my Dad's side lived to be 93, but my Grandpa lived to be 80ish, due to diabetes which runs in the family (so I had better start looking after my self better!).

My Dad is 77 (78 in July) and is having problems, but that is because he isn't really looking after himself very well, despite what people tell him - He's now a Widower and the dog, Maisie is the only thing keeping him going I think. He also got it into his head that he'd die at 76, so he's got over that mental hurdle at least.

My Mum lived to 73 (bowel Cancer) and her Mum died at 66 due to heart problems which apparently run in the family. Her real dad lived to be 84, but we know nothing about him, so no idea about family history there.

To be honest with you, we always thought my Dad would die first (so did he I think).

With all this, I imagine I might live to be 80 something at least (ask me again in about 35 - 40 years time!).

I'm 43 (going on 12).

Well it gave me 3 years and as I'm 63 now it means thanks to the (tory) government I won't see a pension, maybe if I quit smoking and drinking I'd get another couple of years (as a miserable fecker) but I'd sooner carry on with what's left of my life enjoying a bit of pleasure than suffering the cravings of quitting after 50years of smoking and nearly as many drinking

For me, every day is a bonus. I might not see you next Tuesday , or maybe 35 more years. Probably have had enough by then anyway. What will I die of? Pick a number. Any number. Between 1 and 28. It'll be one of those.
