Not had a prescription for medicine since about 1980, when I had some torpedo-shaped tablets for piles and for all the good they did I might as well have shoved them up my ****, not been to the doctor since.
Yep - most GPs are now reluctant to prescribe more than a months worth in case people overdose - this also causes problems cos they also don't want people to reorder until they've about got 3 days left ....bank holidays become a nightmare.... To be honest this recent change also causes more work for GPs and pharmacies, but then you should see the carrier bags of drugs that people return once a patient has gone into a home or died - there's quite often years worth of unopened drugs......
