How Long Shall I Cut My Hair?

I haven’t cut my hair for years. Is down the middle of my back. For work (gardener) and cycling I put it in a man bun or a Viking plait as it is wavy and gets super tangled otherwise.

Long hair is ‘part of me’ so I don’t want to go too crazy*. So how long for a 44 year old with a hair crisis?

*Must suit my beard which I’ve had since birth.

Just have a trim. They'll probably need to cut a couple of inches to get rid of the split ends and leave it with an even length.
