Hmm, I was just thinking of changing my tyres when I came across this thread. I've done around 1,000 miles on 23mm Continentals, they've never had a p*nct*re until now, when I've had 2 in 3 days. There are no obvious signs of weakness in the tyres, but I assumed that they must be wearing out. However.....both p*nct*res were in the front, and from reading this thread, that's not the tyre that would be worn out. So have I just been unlucky, or would it be best to change the tyres just in case?

The front one does sort of concern me where the join is, i am sure it used to be thin, now its got abit wider. Just been out to feel the tyre and you can see its just in a small area, but still it has got wider. Its done 1798miles now and they are still on, got a few slight cuts in them but nothing huge. Been over alot of glass and thorns aswell.
