We used to get my Dad's shotgun out and load the two cartridges we found in a box - gawd knows how we never killed anybody. We dug tunnels in the garden and didn't get buried

There are pictures of our underground base at the foot of this post http://lawsie.blogspot.co.uk/2009/10/nice-band.html It caught fire when we were in there once...

9 i guess?
i've never really been one for throwing myself off things or setting myself on fire, or for that matter getting mown down by vehicles.
i've climbed my fair share of tree's, i used to have a manic affinity for fire there was one point i swear i could have burned a lot of things down. i've dug tunnels in loose mounds of woodchip which promptly fell on me and i had to be dug out, i guess that counts? i've almost been hit by a few cars but all bar one was my own fault and the other was just a close call.
i've had sunburn and sunstroke so bad i passed out for 2 days whilst in greece, i've fallen off more things then i care to count and i've jumped off my share of things. i'm yet to break a bone (kind of looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time)
the biggest cut i ever had didn't even need stitches.

i feel like a right pansy compared to you lot.

i think i'm going to take up a dangerous hobby, something like parachuting with a chute packed by someone else or something...

Well recently I have suffered a fractured skull, subdural haematoma and brain injury. Then I broke my neck in 2 places but my back in only 1.
Other than that I have had the usual stuff, broken limbs, that sort of thing.
I am actually a very careful person, not at all like RaRa.

No no, I'd say fewer injuries is preferable!

Thirty five years ago last month i was cycling back through the Trough of Bowland, near to where i live, when our group was hit by a car. We were all ok apart from bruising and being shaken, but if we'd all been going a bit faster.... Thirty years ago last month i was travelling home on a country lane when my car was hit head on by a 24 ton truck. I'd only just swapped the car(which ended up in a ditch half mangled) for a mini which didn't have any seat belts, so if i'd been driving the mini... Eighteen years ago last month i was paid a visit in the middle of the night by someone who is now doing life for murder. It turns out he thought i was someone else who i worked with. He later killed someone (seven years ago), the victim has never been found. I often wonder if the murderer had convinced me to open my door that night.. Five years ago last month i was diagnosed with cancer which was close to the terminal stage, and would've been if i'd waited another month to see the doctor!
I'm always relieved when the month of June ends.

Ones i can remember...

I've nearly drowned twice, once when i followed my dad over some rocks at the seaside and fell in, i was really young, so he had to dive in and get me, and also on holiday in a pool, i swam to the deep end (competent swimmer) but my leg seized up so i couldn't swim anymore, and my brother had to drag me into an inflatable boat i'd bought the day before. There was only me and him in the pool, in the day with a few people walking past, so that was a lucky one.

Earlier today, i was trying to jumpstart a van, and attached the leads to the wrong parts, sending sparks from the metal and nearly electrocuting me and the guy i work with :/.

I was once crossing a small unsignalled train crossing with friends, we looked for trains and there were none, so started to cross. 1 friend had just got over the gate ( which had been locked), and as he did, a train came roaring towards us so i had to drag him away from the line. Phew!

I'm quite accident prone, was much more as a child, the hospital was my second home lol. Even the nurses knew me . I'm nowhere near as bad now. So i think i have 7 lives remaining. I don't fancy any more close encounters tbh lol.
