How many of us have had some damage caused by recent storms

it had me wondering how many of us have had fence panels destroyed or any other damage by the recent strong winds

Touch wood we havent but have seen a few wrecked ones on our nightly walk around the block

Storm Frank took a number of tiles off our roof, and then we got in some dodgy roofers to fix it who damaged our guttering.... Cost us a reasonable amount and we still need to finish the job off!

I did have to ask the council for a new lid for my recycling box once, as the previous one blew away. Does that count?

Two or three winters ago a storm blew down a tree in our neighbour's garden and it squashed part of our fence. Housing association house, so there weren't any arguments about repairing the damage. This was a Good Thing because the view from our windows improved, and several of the fence posts and panels demolished by the tree were rotting anyway - so we also got our fence repaired for nowt!

Advice please, as you look at the garden from inside the house on the right side two panel and fence post has collapse and leaning towards my side. Spoke to neighbour (new neighbour a bit weird) they say it's my responsible I said I doubt it as the previous neighbour has repaired it.
My question who responsible forthe fence? I always thought the fence on the right side is the neighbour responsible

I've survived undamaged. My sheds have the clout nails 2" apart.in the fleet so there's no gaps for the wind to work on, fence is rock solid, house is a bungalow so sits low to the ground. My gaff in Shetland is ok too, despite recently weathering 100mph gusts.

So the neighbour fixed it last time, and you think the neighbour should sort it again? Isn't that just a teensy weensy bit selfish on your part?
