Our office is near Didcot. There are about 30 of us, but I'm the only one who cycles. One other guy did a couple of times, but gave up (in fairness he had about 15 miles as opposed to my 6). That makes me feel quite special. It's just as well there isn't anyone else, as otherwise there wouldn't be enough room for my halo:angel:

Out of the 576 people where I work about 10 cycle regularly, on nicer days this might get to 15 or 20. They are just about to introduce c2w so expect to see a lot more for a month or two if they weather improves. That'll put some pressure on the 30 cycle spaces and 2 showers. We will get two cycle spaces, currently reserved for the mayor and his wife, back in May when a new mayor takes office and reverts back to the chauffeur driven car.

Four or five all-weather regulars (incl. myself), four or five more who cycle most of the time, and about 15-20 people who cycle in every now and then. One of the regulars is a Cat 3 racer, so I like to pick his brains!

There are 26 at our place and three of us regularly cycle. Another lad bought his mate's MTB last week and has cycled in once. I suspect he doesn't like the 7-mile climb on pavements from the city centre to Bartley Green.

We have getting on for 10,000 staff on site. The cyclists number probably in the high hundreds. This year the weather doesn't seem to be putting as many people off as in previous years. For example this morning, after riding through pouring rain and strong winds I was expecting to find 3 or 4 bikes in the shed. Instead out of 30 spaces there were only two spaces to choose from.

Also soon we are going to have site bikes for getting around between buildings which should mean even more cyclists on site

No idea company wide (about 400 employees) but I know it's not many.

New company - quite a few:thumbsup: And I'll be helping implement the C2W:hyper:

I do chuckle to myself when a few of them moan about the difficulty of commuting by car in the centre of Manc.

I've no idea how many there are in the building (several floors with different spaces), but there are several secure bike areas under the building that must hold at least 80 bikes. And they are usually full to bursting with some bikes attached to the cages rather than the actual stands or just propped up at the back, and I sometimes have to take it back out onto the street to park on the nearby stands instead. This is now .... I've no idea what it will be like come summer!
There’s 60 of us in the office and we used to have 6 cyclists. Talking to K in the canteen and she said she cycled in this morning from Peckham on a £100 second-hand hybrid to the offices in Clerkenwell.

So we have 7 now – over 10% - not too bad.

There’s K.

P who smokes like a trooper, is whippet thin, fast and rides in from Crystal Palace on a mid-range road bike. I keep trying to get him to go fixed.

S who comes in on a Bromley from Balham and does loads of stuff with LCC. I keep trying to get her to go fixed.

G from Tooting who’s bought a £1k road bike and asked me to do a sportive with him. He’s not going fixed.

My Sex and the City boss on a specialized sirrus who comes in from Brockley. She’s in training for a triathlon and will be renting a fancy road bike for the event. I keep trying to get her to go fixed. She just laughs at me now.

Our Legal Director who like me lives in Surbiton, on a top-end Boardman. He’s important as he’s the one who pulled his weight and insisted our offices had showers. He keeps falling off and breaking bones. He’s 60. No way is he going fixed.

And me.

One of the IT bods may cycle in from Waltham Forest, so all good.
So you want a medal for riding a fixed?

At my work 7 out of 16 cycle plus one is a motorcyclist and another an ocasional motorcyclist. The rest either use public transport or walk. The boss drives and one other girl also. However I am the only cyclist who rides pretty much everyday, as the other cyclists can be described as part time. Some times they get a bus or a lift if they don't feel like riding into work. One guy rides single speed, but not fixed. Another guy used to ride a BSO with flat tyres until he heard I had a pump. He now enjoys his ride to and from work but only when the weather is fine which hasn't been often recently.
