Obviously city centre riders are going to raise an eyebrow but am I the only one with a lonely commute?

I'm not sure if I have found a quiet route but I see no other riders on a 24 mile round trip, literally in 5 weeks (200+ miles) of riding I've passed seen and passed 3 people.

I find I ride more enthusiastically when I spot someone to catch up, pass them and make sure I stay there but it seldom happens. Hopefully summer will bring some more out.
2 maybe 3 , a couple in the train station and maybe 2 POBs elsewhere

Three at the most of my three mile trip in. However, I do have a late start time and this might account for the low number when I'm mobile twixt 09.15/09.30 hrs each day. That said there are around 20 of us in the office who ride in each day (a vastly different times and from all points west!)

Always thought there should be a "spotted, was it you?" forum category on here but judging by some of the numbers people see perhaps not! I normally see quite a few cycling into Edinburgh (whether I'm on the bike or shhhhh in the car) but no-one I know or have met through here...

In Manchester, it ranges from 2 to 5. The other, hundreds - Most being students on fixed gears, girls on them girly bikes with baskets and a whole lot of bso riders!

In wales, The most I've seen in one day was 3. They were riding in a group.
I have to say road bikes do seem to be popping up more and more around here!

It's a bit more complicated than that...
Between one pair of traffic lights this evening (not even particularly early - after 6pm) I counted 45 riders coming towards me.

At the moment I can only commute on a Thursday as I need to run my daughter to college every other day, timing change as I'm in no rush to get to work so generally leave it to after 9am as the traffic is a bit calmer. What about yourself Mr Grumpy? See loads of cyclist when I'm crossing in the car, always have a wee look to see if it's anyone I know.

usually heading over no later then 6:30am at this time of year, during winter it's sometimes earlier . Managing more or less every day now but come winter mix it up with the train xx(. Quite a few commuters from the bay but not that many leaving at same time as me.

This morning. None.

This evening 4 or 5.

I work shifts though, so can sometimes be out at rush hour sometimes when its dead.

One regular who is easy to spot I see sometimes, and spoken with once. I call him Mr Roadie, he wears orange hi-vis and a proper roadie cap. Easy to recognise. Almost everyone else wears the generic hi-vis so they all look the same! I'm easy to remember with my white helmet, and super-powerful lights on all the time.

I usually see about 1-3 and these tend to be the same people but going in the other direction, usually only 1 max on my way home cause i dont finish till half 5 and most people are already left work by then
