...do you eat?
According to Michel Roux jnr, we Brits, eat 2500 each on average in a lifetime.
For ease of argument and maths, lets say a buying time of 50 years, so that works out at about 50 per annum or roughly one a week.
I, personally, have about 2 a year, so some greedy git is eating my share and my educated guess is that it's Noodley.

Just a few times a year for proper takeaway, but probably have a burger fortnightly. I know a few people who have like a takeaway night each week and others who have fast food/takeaways pretty much daily. :hungry:

We have take away a couple of times a month, on average. Sometimes we'll have one a week, and then none for a couple of months, so I suppose it works out as 24 a year.
I know quite a few people who have a takeaway every weekend, they're not all obese either.

Haven't had a takeaway since November or so.
We got tired of the same old chicken and lamb curries and pre-cooked meat in black bean/ ginger and spring onion/ hoisin/ plum sauces.

It varies really. There are a few places I occasionally visit that have wonderful fish and chip shops and I can't resist any time I'm there.

Coincidently, the enemy and I had our first takeaway for over year last night. I was feeling sorry for myself because of my hurty leg.

Domino's garlic bread, pepperoni and pineapple thin crust pizza, and hagan daas strawberry cheesecake ice cream. Nom nom nom nom. I really enjoyed the fabulous guilt of it all, but then I felt a bit ill afterwards. Don't worry I'll be alright.

Do convenience foods such as Tesco horse meat lasagne, or M&S equivalent, count as take-away food? If so it makes a significant difference to my count!

If you count fish and chips, then 26 - 50 as i usually grab a small fish and chips for my lunch once every couple of weeks.

As for family evening take always then it's pretty low but within the 26 -50, maybe once a month, again fish and chips. Prefer to make own curries, Chinese, Thai etc, from scratch and it doesn't take long.

Are we talking about take away food that you consume at home, or take away food that you consume whilst out and about?

Once or twice a fortnight. tbh, the local chinese is cheap, amazing and healthy if you pick the right stuff. And they flash fry it in about 2-3mins after you place your order. 5-6 quid and you fill your belly. The local supermarket is Waitrose....

You go in, thru some mysterious process, always drop the best part of 30 quid and then have to cook it yourself.

/edit living down in Salisbury where the chippies are rubbish, always grab fish and chips when go back home to Grimsby. It's just gorgeous and has to be done. Difficult to find a really good chippy nowadays.

I am lucky to have an award winning chippy near work (expensive) and one near home with at least one other excellent chippy. If you exclude chippy take always, then maybe once or twice a year for any other.

Ps if we have a chippy tea, we usually share portions, not quite greedy enough for fish and a full chips myself.
