Funny, i was only thinking the other day...i'm not a sweaty person, even in the height of summer a couple of years ago, 30 degrees, 35 mile hard ride, sweated like the clappers but still didnt smell.
Generally undergarments, socks etc, change every day without fail, but the rest...every so often will do.
I wash my cycling clothes after every ride or at least the machine does. When commuting normally wear the same kit each way but have a spare set ready for the return journey in case it doesn't dry fast enough through the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Especially those of you riding longer distances on saddles - do you not think how bad it could get if you ever experience bottom problems. Clean shorts are a must IMO. Now, do I post a link to an audaxer's terrible bottom photo? (It requires mindbleach afterwards).
clean base layers (top and bottom) every ride. i have had 'saddle sores' (not thru being a minger tho) and i simply don't want to encourage that problem. as for those that don't change every day...you dirty disgusting barstewards!!!!
I aim for every two days for shorts although I'd prefer every day, defo the pad wants keeping clean, if I push my luck I start to get skin irritation from sweaty lycra/whatever and I've had the odd saddle sore
that said the higher quality shorts I have now seem to be much more forgiving
no idea at all how anyone can ride five days, I've done four and there's a lively hum that is almost audible
