I think so. And it's Paym, not mPay - I was wrong earlier. Apparently H/BoS/Lloyds/TSB let you Paym through internet banking but most of the others currently only allow you to send payments through their mobile apps. I don't want their farking apps (link NSFW) for various reasons.I use Barclays pingit between most friends and family and it works great. As I understand it thats a barclays branded version of mPay?
The transaction fee rates are much higher for low volume users, too, which sucks.I believe the margin on food and drink is fairly low if it's the sort of stuff you get at the cash and carry rather than freshly made, so I can understand the transaction fee from the small shop, where perhaps they don't take card that often.
How do you work that out? I've yet to see someone exploit a credit card directly, or even connect to it over the internet.I now buy most things by just using the phone to 'tap and go'
(and as it works on my fingerprint, it's more secure than a card or cash)
