How non-religious is 'non-religious' music for a civil wedding?

I went to a lavish civil ceremony. One of them came in to the 'Entry of the Queen of Sheba', the other to the Pink Panther theme!

I second Pachebel's Canon.

Schubert's 2nd movement of the 8th unfinished symphony is also very beautiful and uplifting.

Beethoven's 1st movement 7th symphony.

Arvo Part's Spiegel Im Spiegel

Best of luck and don't worry too much!

Judging your grammar
I confess, I worked as an deputy registrar for a while. Part of my duties were to check songs submitted to ensure there was not too much (i.e. any) religious content. In general, music without words was approved unless it was obviously a hymn, lyrics were at the discretion of the registrar conducting the service.

The leaflet doesn't say anything about lyrics or not, just that we can have up to three 'tracks' at each stage where music is allowed.

I love the more comedy ideas, which I think is partly down to a degree of nerves: my natural inclination is to have a laugh, but I don't want to overdo it!

We often listen to music while working together or in the car, and there are lots of tracks we sing along to, but we don't have an 'our tune' really.

Well, we've got a few months to think about it!

(3) But the proceedings may include readings, songs, or music that contain an incidental reference to a god or deity in an essentially non-religious context.
Aagh! Now look what you made me do.
