Just had a quick look on the DailyFail website to have a good laugh at some of the irrational editorial and noticed this story has finally appeared.

Check out some of the comments from the readers, one of them even advocates Police Brutality in situations such as this!

As amusing as it is....I'm sure the cop doesnt need someone buggering him about like that. He saw someone jump a red light, he's trying to issue a fine...let him do his job.

+1 even thou the PC comes across and utter bellend and said the wrong things like i dont need to know the law and etc but he was trying to save a life and not having to go round to that cyclists house to tell his loved ones he is dead because he jumped a red light.

Not a good day to be a cyclist or a cop. Espeacially not a good day for being Cyclist Cop!

Why is when a cyclist is a kn0b or does something wrong, the rest of us are expected to explain it or specifically condemn it?
I see motorists doing stupid and dangerous things every day, but I don't demand that every other motorist publicly apologises for the actions of another person.

If i'd been in a similar situation i would have gone out my way to be polite to the policeman.
If he'd then progressed on to give words of advice, telling how i'd end up in a wheelchair jumping lights, etc , etc, no worries.

But the moment he starts to issue a £30 fine i'd play mind games with him and say untrue stuff like "that's an hours pay" or "that's
less than 1/4 tank of fuel in my car" just to infere that the fine doesn't bother me at all.

Make him think his pen-pushing is worthless and just wasting his time.

Thing is that if you do that (be polite) it is fairly rare that you would wind up with a ticket... unless there is an operation in force to issue tickets to RLJs... act like our man in the March 2011 video and you will be much more likely to be receiving a ticket...

FWIW comments about pay, fuel, bullying, genital size, partners, sexual preferences etc. etc. etc. have all been heard before - they will have little or no effect on the copper other than to make him more likely to find more reasons to delay you further

Can't stand JV so I won't be listening. I stopped listening a long time ago after becoming frustrated by his one sided discussions and his inability to control guests talking over each other. No doubt todays discussion on the incident referred to on this thread will be equally one sided, but which way? From the trailer I just heard on the Ken Bruce show, it doesn't look good for cyclists (in this particular case, quite rightly as the guy was a complete knob IMHO).
