Slightly nicked from an old blog post, but possibly worth a chuckle:
- Constantly compare yourself to other cyclists
- Talk to your family about what you do and expect them to cheer you on
- Base the success of your entire cycling career on one Sunday ride
- Stick with what you know, despite constantly asking for advice on forums
- Undervalue your ability, or worse, overvalue your ability
- Let money dictate what you ride
- Bow to vehicular pressures while on the open road
- Only go on rides that include at least ten Strava segments
- Do whatever the cycling magazines/ guides/ instructional books tell you to do
- Set unachieveable/ overwhelming goals, to be accomplished by tomorrow
