Evening peeps
We have new tenants moving into our flat next week.
They have asked for the landline number at the property which we don't know
Previous tenant had Sky TV and broadband but didn't know landline number, never needed it as just used mobile.
Been on the phone to BT and Sky since 5.30 and cannot get through :banghead:
Can the tenants just call up their broadband provider and say they've changed address and get a landline number allocated or is there anything I can do?
Last time I needed a landline number I went into the BT shop and spoke to someone face to face (those were the days)
Thanks in advance

Go to the flat, use a phone to dial your mobile phone and see what number comes up.

Pick phone up and dial 17070 and follow the instructions and it Will read the number back to you trade secret  .If there's a dial tone but it won't let you dial your mobile its been cancelled and made temp out of service and can be turned back on. If you can still dial out line is still live and the previous tenants will need to cancel it as Provider will only talk to account holder . Worst case is get new Tennant's to order a line with their provider and an openreach will turn up and instead of providing a new linw would disconnect the existing line and put the correct dial tone on it.

Plug a phone into the line and dial 17070, a nice lady from BT will read out your number to you automagically.
