How to stop a turbo trainer tyre from shredding?

I have the orange turbo trainer tyre which is apparently made for indoor work, however, how do you stop them from shredding. I have locked at the trainer whhel aginst the tyre. I have looked at the tyre pressure etc etc, but you are still left with orange shredded rubber everywhere. Any advice ??

I've been using turbo trainers for donkeys years and never had any problems with tyres.

Do you have it bolted hard up against the roller? It only needs to barely touch.

Thanks guys, the problem was the turbo wheel wasn't fixed firm enough against the cycle wheel, sorted! Cheers

on the subject of turbo tires (and roller ones) i think the best optoin is to use the old 18mm skinny tires, they sem to last for ages and most of the time you wont have to pay for them...
