This thread seems to have taken a violent turn.

take the car apart one bit per week she continues to text and drive

sorry, were you after a sensible answer?

If it were my wife, i'd just be growing a beard and mustache until she stopped.

I'd try and persuade her to watch the video. If that doesn't work, ask the police to have a word. It is horrendously dangerous.

On the friday night at the start of half term, we were on the M5 south of Bristol. It was dark and the traffic was heavy but fast. We were doing 70 mph in the outside lane when a car on our left drifted two feet across the lane markings right in front of us before sharply swerving back. I looked across as we passed and he was staring intently at his lap with one hand on the wheel. I was not very happy.

Amazing how some people need to have a phone glued to the old lughole at all times.

Text driving is just so half wit.

Send her a text every day saying, "This may be the last text you ever read..."

Bit shocked to see some of the posts saying turn to violence (yes I know most are tongue in cheek, but its the guy's sister ffs)

Sheddy is right - crimestoppers. They can even contact the insurer if they feel its worthwhile, I'm told. The only people who can really advise her the Police in the end imvho...

I think the problem comes with being seen to be a grass on your family member, if you did you might have to keep it to yourself. Its the old over confidence, underskilled scenario again imo.

That's why I only limited it to what I think.

Print off some pictures of pink elephants and stick them around your local area.

Drive her around the same area and ask her to behave as if she was driving and tell her she can text when she wants.

When you get back ask her how many pink elephants she saw. Take her around again to show how many elephants she missed when texting.
