How to stop my sister text-driving?

My sister reckons she's actually really good at sending emails on her blackberry whilst driving.

How do I convince her to stop doing it without her calling me a 'cyclo-fascist' and dismissing me?

I presume you have pointed out that it is illegal,

what was her response to that?

Not sure the fact it's illegal is the major reason not to text whilst driving, show her this?

you can be prossicuted for dangerous driving as a result of using a hand held mobile device or anything else that interfears with safe operation of a vehicle,

It was introduced in summer 2008 - I remember it well as my manager used to shout at me for not answering the phone or replying to texts

each time, it went like this:

"I'm on a three hour drive from wales to get back here in time, are you wanting me to stop to phone you back, find your out of the office, set off again, not answer your call, stop, phone you back etc etc or would you like me to just get on with it?"

"but what if I need you to go somewhere else on your way back?"

"leave an answerphone message or give more detail than 'call me', that way I know what your wanting and not just wanting an update on where I am"

Tell her the truth: she's really crap at driving.

Tell her that any mobile phone skills she has will not be needed when she is prison for Death by Reckless Driving. Upon release from prison, she will be so consumed with guilt that she still will not want to use the blackberry.

But the problem with those sort of road safety messages is that drivers like her will watch that video and think: "What an idiot, how stupid for texting while driving if you are such a bad driver that you'd make mistakes like that... I'd never do anything so silly when I text while driving".
