Roadworks on some of my commute and I am a bit unsure how to best negotiate it, so I would be grateful of some advice. The route is here, with the road works between Quality Street and Drum Brae North

The road is an urban dual carriageway (40mph) going uphill coming from the east. The road has been temporarily marked with the left lane for turning left down Drum Brae, with the right lane for straight on.

I am going straight on, my question is at what point should I attempt to make the move to the right hand lane when the traffic is flowing?

I am currently doing so from the Quality Street junction taking a very secondary and allowing cars to pass to the left and right of me, which doesn't particularly worry me, but what would everyone else do?

I'm not sure which route you're referring to? Could you be more specific as to junctions and exact route?

Hackers, you're on a windup mate.
