No major dramas so far, been out on the bike 2 out of 3 days and got 130k under the wheels.

My major concern is, after all I've scoffed this Christmas, will my work trousers still fit me tomorrow morning...

A large part of it has been spent either hungover, or getting extremely wet on the bike.

Is it the rain today that has caused problems ? we had a weather warning for here and its turned out to be a lovely day, no wind, no rain, and even a bit of sunshine. My parents who are not that far from you say it has been one seriously miserable day.[/QUOTE]
Both tree and wall may have happened over Christmas...We were away for a week, and Jan 1st was my first venture out into the garden since returning, and was when I noticed both. Car yesterday, tooth today

Well it started before the New Year but still looming.... Storm Frank took some tiles off the roof, we stupidly called in the first people who would go up, (we forgot insurance exists as we have only ever claimed twice in 25 years). The workmen don't start work till the afternoon, and only do a couple of hours without being prepared, and then proceeded to knock the guttering off onto the porch.

And they can't tell the truth, so they turned up on New Year's Day, having spent the morning going around reclamation yards.... Would these be the same yards that were shut the afternoon before (closing early on New Year's Eve) when you disappeared for several hours!

Now we wait daily for them to turn up to finish the job.... And my Mum phones daily for the latest update.

Not going too bad for me so far, only ridden once so far this year though & reckon I've just about had my recommended alcohol intake for the month in 3 days

Not too bad so far. Had nice 25 mile ride on the 1st, spent an the morning of 2nd in the gym as the weather was terrible, spent this afternoon booking B & B's for our coast to coast tour later in the year. Also revised some of the accommodation and route for our Holland tour.

Can't wait to go.

Also discovered the garage door needs fixing, but that can wait.

Not too bad at all really, nice 35 mile ride on 1st, replaced a damaged driveshaft boot and changed the oil in my car yesterday and also fitted some new wider bars to my winter fixed as the narrow 1970s ones that were on it are not comfortable for a broad shouldered chap though the spare roll of bar tape I thought I had appears to have been stolen by fairies so haven't completed that yet and had a nice 50 miler today on my hub geared mtb.
