How's your weather?

I knew this would happen when I took voluntary redundancy a month ago . So much for enjoying a nice warm sunny summer and getting lots of cycling done!

End of April/beginning of May was dry, but there was a constant cold, easterly wind which killed the temperature. I did take advantage of it to do the Way of the Roses though.

Since then though, nothing but wind, rain and cold temperatures. The forecast for next week looks like much of the same. I sincerely hope we're not going to have a repeat of the last 3 summers. i.e. 2 nice weeks in May, then rain, rain and more rain.

Please don't tell me to ignore it and get out on my bike! I cycle for pleasure, not to torture myself. I seriously dislike rain!!

So how's the weather where you are? Southeast looks ok just now.

Beautifully sunny out now and hot. Typically, Mother Dearest and my grandmother are coming for the day tomorrow and I've got a house to tidy. Gah!

Down to 16c here. We had a massive thunderstorm all night (it seemed) with torrential rain. There's been little rain since early March. Should be back to mid-twenties tomorrow according to the f'cast.

I take it you're in Limoges then, and not York?

Ex girlfriend had family in Confolens, not far from Limoges. Visited them once, during the annual Confolens festival. Nice place (in summer!).

14 degrees C cold wet and windy - it is May in central Scotland I'd expect nothing less.

After the glorious April and start of May, it has been sun and clouds ... not very hot ... the sort of days where you get your clothing wrong as it either starts sunny and turns cloudy, windy and cooler or the opposite. Any rain that has fallen has been at night mostly so its not been too bad to cycle in. The worst thing has been the wind on some days.

About 19 or 20 degrees here, light cloud, warm breeze, no rain. I am a Southern "Poof", and I'm afraid I have to put up with a nice, warm, pleasant climate! The weather here just isn't miserable or gruelling enough for me to be proud of it, I'm afraid ...

I think the high point of my Spring was down in Llanelli for Carmarthanshire Snapper in mid April - gorgeous sunny and warm.

It's been sunny at home (South Lakes) during April/May but not warm due to the blasting NE/E wind. Now it's cool, grey and breezy after loads of rain. Seems like March
