Really good thread this one, thanks all for sharing.
Bikewise, 2010 has been amazing.
There was the fabulous MTB holiday in Sardinia, riding more than I ever thought I could and then really feeling progress (fitness and ability) over the week. It was a timely reminder also of the importance of holidays - so nurturing and restorative, even when they are flat-out physical! And yet I find it so hard to make them happen. Arguably it should be easy taking holidays, what with being single, self-employed and with no dependents, but I don't find it so...
And I finally ditched (sold on) my crappy
ebay bike that was heavy as hell, not at all comfortable, hurt my wrists and made me grumpy, and got a hybrid groove machine that makes me smile instead. Cos I'm worth it
Lifewise, Mum got an all clear from the cancer crew, after a few years of pretty nasty ops and treatments, which was music to our ears.
And I'm alive and well and hopeful that there's gonna be another year rocking up for us all in just a couple of weeks...
Merry Xmas all ye CycleChatters and here's to creating the 2011 you wish for
