Is the question about both athletes running, or Hoy on a bike?

Driving home from work and as often happens, a completely random thought creeped into my head.

Who would win a flat 100 metre sprint out of sir Chris hoy and usain bolt????

Both starting from their normal race starts.

The OP didn't mention whether Hoy was actually using a bike?

Usain Bolt can run at this speed! Does my head in every time.

Bit OT
I had a similar thought after being out on the bike the other day. The marathon guys are running at 12.5 mph. Mo Farah 13.5 for his 10,000m. On long rides out I ain't going much faster.
Greg Rutherford could take off at my front door and land in the back garden without touching the floor on the way through the house.
The high jumpers could live in a first floor flat and have a front door without the inconvenience of stairs. Thus never being troubled by Jehovahs Witnesses.

Truly astonishing.

Equally astonishing, @Piemaster, is that you can travel ten miles on your bike without cycling for ten miles. ^_^

Apparently a reasonably fit domestic cat can reach just under 30 mph which given its stature would give it the same impression of speed as we would have running at 107mph.

Presumably the Usain Bolt of the domestic cat world could run much faster, properly trained.

The next stage of the evolution of Olympic runners is to produce athletes capable of running on all fours.
