Just bought a new phone last week and can't get on with it at all - HTC Wildfire S. It cost me 180 quid so an expensive mistake! Can I sell it? does it need to be unlocked? help!

I take it its contract. You'll have to pay for the remainder of the contract

I was given this as an upgrade from 3 and hated it for the first couple of weeks but took it back to the shop for a few adjustments and love it now. I wasn't getting on with the keyboard and it was taking me ages to write a text/email but the man in the shop changed the keyboard type from a full qwerty to the numberpad on an old-style mobile and that made a massive difference. I was also unimpressed with the battery needing changed after half a day and he advised me to keep the internet connection on rather than turning it on and off all the time as that was always using up power. This may not be an option on a PAYG if you have limits on your data use.

+1 just sell it. It doesn't matter what network your on, just advertise it accordingly. If the buyer's on a different network it's upto them to make sure it works with their sim.

FWIW, most o2 and 3 phones work on all networks IME
