We had a problem a month or so ago (Humax Foxsat, about 12 years old).
The built-in signal quality/strength monitor showed zeroes. We'd swapped the TV a few years ago to one with a built-in satellite receiver, so we were able to plug in one of the downleads directly to it, bypassing the Foxsat, which confirmed that it was the dish (water in the LNB) and not the Humax.
If the OP has a TV with a sat input, might be worth trying that to troubleshoot exactly where the problem lies.
