Rabbits aren't kosher anyway are they?
That's correct. I don't know whether they are halal for Muslims, never heard of rabbit being offered in a halal restaurant.

But in any case, no animal shot with a shotgun would be either kosher or halal. It would have to have been religiously slaughtered.

Thanks. I was wondering if I'd ever be brave enough to venture onto the Downs again.:smile:

Right nxt to the uni we have one of those posh farms that do shoots. I dont like the way they breed phesents for shooting. They end up so tame they just walk up to them. However I wont be asking this farm im going to try asking about in another one towards the coast see if they object. I doubt many farmers are going to mind folk going after rabbits.

Never lived on campus. In those days many of us we were put up in guest houses when we first arrived. During our first term our landladie's husband died so we then moved out to a flat on New Steine. Then for years two & three we rented a house in Windsor Street right in centre of Bighton. Just two doors down from the Windsor Tavern which was a proper pub in those days. Happy days..

I think it's cheating to use weapons or implements of any kind. The only honest way to catch a rabbit is to chase it and seize it with your bare hands. As I believe someone said earlier, it's a good idea to prepare yourself with five or six pints of the landlord's best - and a bag of crisps if you're feeling frisky. Good luck! Let us know how it goes.
