Hybrid bike recommendations

I did see this Cannondale Quick. My current bike is a Cannondale bad boy. I was a little put off by the width of the tyres. I emailed Cannondale to see if I could get some spec for the rims but they never got back to me. What's more, it's a carbon frame. I'm not sure why but I have doubts about a carbon frame but it was the tyres that made me consider the Sirrius Pro. I pick up the my shinny new Boardman tomorrow.
