On a forum where the evident risk or riding a bike and the occasional jibe at wrapping kids in cotton wool I'm surprised at some of the comments.
Growing up (primary school age) in Oldham I soon cottoned on how to keep warm in winter without today's technical clothing, my eldest lad(nearly 10) has picked up these lessons dispute me telling him to put a hat on or stuff the hat an gloves in his pockets for later.....he has now through some discomfort and a little pain learnt his lesson.
