Got my winter gear, all dressed up. Weather looks good, blue sky no rain. So off i set into an icy biting wind !!
Wind found its way into everything even through thermal socks :-(
So i came home
I am therefore a certified WIMP

You're not a wimp. I would have too!
I can't stand the wind....can cycle in rain etc but as soon as the wind hits me I'm running like a dog with it's tail between it's legs
:hugs:

As long as I breathe, I attack.
I think i posted in your ride today a few weeks ago when i was on a club run and i got very cold and wet, took about 6 hours to get full feeling back in my toes.

Weather does have an effect on your activities. That does not make you a wimp.
That is at least my excuse for even bigger disappointment. My long awaited new bike arrived yesterday. Put together this morning and just riding around. Have still not ventured far. I tried to convince my self that it is because I am still making adjustments. But I know weather is also a factor.

Wanting to keep my exercise up this winter so i did think of joining a gym but decided against it.
The difference is i enjoy my cycling and although i would be warm and dry in a gym i don't really like them.
So unless it's snowing, raining or really windy i will be out there.

I get the distinct impression that Father Christmas may be bringing me some windproof gloves. Apart from the tips of my fingers though, I was pretty cosy today. Well, boiling hot on the ascents and freezing cold on the descents as per usual, so it averages out.
