worth it though. i was found a 3 inch hairy caterpillar on the road, just missed it on my bike. it was really furry, so i put it on the grass verge. wish i'd took a photo now.

i don't think its a stinger, i think it might be what it lays eggs with. I heard of a creature that lays eggs in other creatures. That might be it! :eek:

I know how your "lens" must feel. I have suffered similarly after being on the beach.

I took this picture with a Blackberry phone and am quite astonished at the quality. With a phone, keeping the camera steady is the hardest part. If you can do that, the definition is excellent.
