We have recently noticed dog shoot along our street (on the path). To the point where we have to carefully watch where we walk. Only happened the last 3 - 4 weeks.

I know for a fact it's not my dog because a) I'm not blind b)we pick up, c) she'd rather listen to Subo than do it on the pavement and d) I've got a pocket full of bags at any time.

However, a contact of mine from the environmental health has given me the *heads up* that we have been reported.   And to expect a letter blah blah ..... I will wait for the 'evidence'.

So, it's some twat in the street who thinks because we live here with a dog - it must be us.

It just makes me so mad.

Well done Snapper. The prospect of picking up dog poo would put me off getting one, so I respect people who do.

I have often thought it would be nice to have a dog, but its the above thats puts me off too.
If your not going to look after one the way you should then dont have one!

Picking up dog shoot is part of having a dog. It's not a problem - there's 3 dog bins around the corner from where I live.

The issue is someone is not picking up and I'm getting the ****ing blame. Same old same old. As usual, it's the good dog owners who are taking the flack for the twats who couldn't give a (dog) shoot.

bag it up send it to EHO and tell me he can have dna sample from you dog

As if.

It did remind me of the time when I put my very old pooch out for a wee.

She was 16 with tumours and could only walk to the grass verge or garden and back again. There was a milk man delivering to next door who shook his head when the dog did a wee.

Me: 'What's the matter'?

Him: 'Don't you pick up his shoot?, that's disgusting'.

Me: 'Well it's a bitch having a piss so if you want to have a go and pick it up - feel free, oh and by the way, bitches stoop not cock their legs up everything going'.

We live close to a lollipop crossing and there is someone who lets their dog foul on the pavement just where all the kids cross. On a bad day you can follow the trail of spoor all the way up to the school.

I always have bags on me as my own dog is a bit of a machine when it comes to doing jobbies. I quite often find myself cleaning up after other peoples' dogs. I would say it gets on my tits - but normally it's just my fingers

Reminds me of the rows I had with a neighbour in the past about bins being left out. They just assumed it was me because I was "always around" even though the bin had a different number on to where I lived and was seen from time to time going into a completely different house. I think people just like to blame people they don't like like that unfortunately snapper.

I often carry a bag of old dog sh!t in my pocket in case I get accused when I walk past someone else's

I think I'd be seething if I was accused of it. Sympathy Snapper, sympathy.

Its a shame you cant stake the area out. Then throw the bl**dy stuff onto their lawn. ;)

Its pretty bleedin obvious too when a dogs having a poo, so when people see them pee their obviously werent looking properly. Mind you who wants to look at a dogs a***.

Saw an owner a few months back who had wandered off on the Common whilst his dog left a massive steaming turn (it was cold and yes it was steaming ). A polite word and he was fine and went back, most owners are like that.

Yep, most owners will.

When you get the letter, I think you should write back. Explain that you have found this to be a problem as well, but are not aware as to who is causing it. Be firm enough to say that the accusation is unfair, without merit and without evidence.

Sure somebody is a dick enough to think its you, but if you're reasonable its fairly easy to demonstrate otherwise.

So true, and you could apply that to so many things!
