It's the same round our way, turds everywhere.
I just don't get the people that couldn't be arsed to deal with it. Do they whoop for joy every time they tread in a pile? Course they don't, they hate it just as much as everyone else so why be adding to the problem? Bell ends. (Yes I did tread in one recently)

I was looking out of our office window a few months back and some chav family rolled up with their pitbul dog fighting machine. It stopped, they stopped, it squatted, the looked, it shat while the had a fag, they all then just walked off. Left a huge turd in the middle of the pavement.

I was a few storeys up so couldn't say anything. but those on the ground who reminded the owners that they should be cleaning up got a huge barrage of abuse from this family. it's crazy.
If you're going to take on a dog, you should realise that you're going to need to pick up dog shoot. there's a bin over the road from where the 'deposit' was left too...

lazy bastards.

p.s. i'm getting a puppy next month and will definately be picking up his poo, see i'm a nice person!

I think I've got the offending owner.... xx(

As I was leaving for work I saw a bloke with a German Shepherd blatantly letting in shoot in the middle of the footpath. I didn't have time to cycle down and really check it out, but I'm 99% he's the one.

Now, what happens next? xx( I don't particularly want to get in confrontation with him - looks a big shifty bugger.

Not being a dog owner, but having kids and have to keep reminding them not to stand in it. Could you take photos of the offending turds, and your own dog's turds - and hopefully if they are different sized/different diets they won't look similar? Like I say I'm not a dog owner but used to notice the pile that looked as if it had been left by an elephant, as opposed to the fox etc.

(Though you have just reminded me that I rode through some yesterday at the entrance to a cycle path when I was avoiding a car blocking the way!xx()

I agree with just taking pictures of the offender when he lets it happen again, but making sure you show enough evidence that they know which street it's on too.

Then get a little coat for your dog which is personalised to say "my owner takes all of my shoot!" and a t-shirt for you with the above photographic evidence!

OK, maybe don't go that far, but I would definitely just take photos of the person and send that to the relevant place, even if you don't get a warning letter.

I do sympathise though Snapper. I'd also hate to be so wrongly accused of something so nasty.

Not as daft as it sounds that. Without going into detail, I know my dogs doo doo from others and I don't even need to watch him, I know where he goes.

For some obscure reason, that gave me a coffee over keyboard moment.

Good idea though. Perhaps I will do that later and post up on here for all to see and compare   xx( xx(

I have just emailed Wton council - there's a shoot-hotline to report dog mess and offending owners.

I'd pop a note through your immediate neighbours doors to say you've seen the culprit who happens to own a german shepherd - don't say who you are, but suggest if folk see it pooping, then they may wish to challenge them.

Has anyone here ever reported someone who lets their dog shite on the pavament and actually had a positive outcome?

Me..but then my statements always start "I am PC 1917"....it helps. I also had a head cam on me....filmed the act and then let the lady walk away around the corner before I stopped her and then reported her!

Someone's taken photos of dog poo locally, and made a poster, stuck it up, and said 'looking for the owners, report to council etc on (phone number)'. As a dog owner who always picks up the plop, i find it odd that people don't.

I came home from work the other night and trod in one that someone had allowed their dog to do right in the gateway into our yard. If I see anyone letting their dog do this in future, I'll be picking it up in a bag and following them home to return their property to them.
