I am just back from the This Girl Can event at our local Uni Sportspark. I went with my neighbour, Jaide, and we had a blast.
They gave us goodie bags with water, bananas and clarins face cream.

  • 1800 - Climbing wall for 45 minutes. It's been a while and I need to do this again soon.
  • 1845 - Pickleball. A cross between ping-pong (bat wise) and tennis (net wise) Hilarious fun
  • 1915 - Zumba. Huge class, couldn't hear what instructor was saying or see what she was doing so gave up after 25 mins as it was like Chinese Whispers meets Aerobics. A bit odd.
  • 1945 - Swimming
  • 2000 - Aqua Aerobics. We thought that this would be a skive as this sort of class is frequented by little old ladies and people carryinig injuries. Not this class. I have never worked so hard in my life. Knackering
  • 2045 - showering and changing at speed. Lycra over damp bodies is a bit like hard work but we did get dressed
  • 2100 - Raveacise. Aerobics, in the dark, while waving and wearing glo-sticks. What a laugh.
  • 2145 - Call Hubster and have him meet us at Tesco Roundabout at 2200 and we walked to meet him.
All this plus an hour's walking, 45 minutes cycling and the stuffing of a large chocolate eclair.

I am a lot fitter than I thought I was. My poor 32 year old neighbour had difficulty keeping up and has vowed to hit the gym and catch up. She's coming cycling soon :okay: I reckon that she'll be scalping me by Winter.

That can't have been one of the events?

That sounds like brilliant fun. I love me some zumba, but only if I can see the instructor. I'm finally giving myself permission to do climbing type stuff instead of being mum standing at the bottom and applauding.
