You may be lucky and find they don't digest . Wait for the morning constitutional , pluck them out from the abyss , a quick wash down and reseal tube.

A bit off post .... but

Anyone see the item on the noos about the Adventure Scouts who were camping out last night ? Don't remember where it was but the snow lay deep and crisp and a bit uneven .

One said he was cold in his sleeping bag, so got into his second and was OK .

Cancelled until next thursday. I cannot find a tube though, so it had the feel of delaying the inevitable:sad:

I hate to break it to you, but your daughter is going to be excommunicated. No second chances, they're that kind of Brownie.

Just call the leader, tell her you cocked up. As with anything, the sooner you do it the better... at least that way you might be given a running start.

A lesson fot the future maybe? Dont leave irreplaceable food where a hungry drunk scavenger can find it!

Quite so. This is an invaluable lesson in life for the child. Make her produce a 1,500 word essay on the ethics of the whole thing and she'll no doubt be promoted to Akela rank or similar.

I urge you all to search your cupboards for a spare tube.......

In the best traditions of Scouting (and Guiding) your daughter thought of others before herself and sacrificed her tube to a starving OAP who hadn't been out of her house all week and had no food to sustain her?

When I was about five or six we went camping in the snow in the Lake District and I don't remember being cold, although this was Easterish so it may have been a bit warmer

Your going to have to come clean Maggot. A letter of explanation to Brown Owl is needed.

You'll have to be made to do pennance for your wicked ways, and show that you're going to leave behind the evils of drink ..... If you're lucky she'll only sentence you to 9 months of NO ALCOHOL!
