I bought this trainer second hand. There’s a piece missing, were you attach the back wheel. The part is obsolete, so is there a way to get the part or “Jimmy” it
Thanks. I attached pictures, the one on the left has the missing part

Without the exact part, a proper fix is tough. Post the brand and model on bike repair forums or Reddit's r/bikewrench. Someone might have a spare. For a DIY fix, you'd need to measure and find a bolt/nut/washer combo at a hardware store to securely replace the missing clamp piece. Don't just wing it; it needs to be safe.

Looks to me that the silver part in the first photo has been inserted in the wrong side.
They should both be on the inside facing each other to clamp on the quick release as per the photo above.

As per monsieur Blakeneys post, it looks to me as if its wrongly assembled.

Ir there is a part missing you could try emailing the manufacturer and asking if its available. Probably not, but they might surprise you.

Agree with others. There's a video of it in use. Looks as though it may come with a "special" quick release; that's not uncommon, but they usually aren't that special, and for example the Elite one would probably work if yours is missing. They are basically just a bit more robust than some, and suitably shaped for the fitting.

Might be worth looking around to see if you can pick up another one cheap now that people might be selling off older models if they have upgraded over x mas ?
I picked up a entry level smart trainer for £40 recently .

We've got a couple of very large charity warehouses locally and they've got a number of old school turbos. One was brand new and still boxed for a fiver. I went and told them it was under priced (they're a charity! Lol) and they didn't even know what it was. Since smart trainers have appeared the old ones are ten a penny now. I've still got one in the garage, which I'm keeping because it's almost a collectable antique 👍

I tried selling a Kurt Kknetic semi smart trainer. I failed as nobody was interested, and this was 2 or 3 years ago. They are worthless. I gave mine to a re-cycling charity.
