Being a grandfather changes nothing. I have 14 grandchildren and one great grandson. (I have 6 kids). My eldest grandson, who is attending college, thinks it's great that his grandfather rides a huge motorbike, and plays rock guitar. Age really means very little to me and I refuse to be pigeon-holed. The day I begin to act like an old man, my wife has permission to shoot me!

It's funny how you get congratulated when you did your bit such a long time ago.
Anyhow, I learned yesterday that my daughter's expecting her third.
The strange thing is that it was the 2 year old who first discovered it. He snuggled up to his mum - he is the huggiest grandchild I'm ever likely to have - started rubbing her tummy and said ''I like my new sister.'' Dani had been puzzled that her weight had stopped going down for a couple of days so she thought that she'd better do a test. Less than a week since conception. Astonishing.
If it turns out to be a girl, I'm going to hire him out as a pregnancy tester....
