Surprisingly (as it's owned by Whitbread I think), not always but mostly. Town/city centre ones sometimes seem to open with ground-floor cafe/restaurant units that they try to let. I don't know if it's limited to places where they already own several pubs and it might be considered monopolistic.A bit characterless but comfortable and adequate - and there's always a pub.

Wow. That would take seriously good cornering in the ones I've seen!Yup, I've done that... the only request was not to ride the bikes in the corridors.
Good to know but as usual, ok on price if there are two or more but the single travellor is still penalised. Hostels still have no competition for the lone rider.
