Had that. Three weeks later I am still coughing. And still getting the occasional fever spike, especially at night.

Sounds more like food poisoning than flu. What did you eat yesterday?

I remember getting a bad bout after stupidly eating ice cream that had melted and re-frozen in Pakistan, I couldn't believe so much hot water could come out of both ends of my body simultaneously. I should have been in hospital on a drip really.

I think it is food poisoning , picked up a tub of icecream from tesco and thought it was a bit soft to scoop . That was about 3pm by 730 pm it was ww3 in my bathroom .

Then you ought to get in touch with the local public health authority, fast. Thy might need a sample, of the ice cream and your, er, poo. Five hours is the typical time-lag with bad food poisoning. Don't take any dairy products; the bacteria are lactophilic.
