A great uncle in Scotland was - after he had cycled into a ditch for the 3rd time in as many months, his GP advised him that it was time to hang up his wheels.

Mind you, he was in his late 80s by then!

Maybe that's deliberate, I mean, he has only said that he has bought a bike, he hasn't said anything about actually riding it, so maybe with that white paint job, he will be wanting to keep it clean, and therefore hardly ever/never ride it!!

Two years ago I met a chap who celebrated his 100 birthday, still lived in his own home and cycled down the pub once a week.
