Last week Evra accused Suarez of racism.

This week Evra is accusing the whole Man City team of rape.

I do not watch football anymore hardly ever but I always check the results on teletext. I had to have a little snigger to myself at the Manchester derby result

Great stuff and long overdue. The amount of diving and cynical fouling by Man Utd is astonishing. They seem to be a really dirty side and that's from a neutral. The M5, M50 and M40 will all be crammed with disappointed gloryhunters Man U fans heading home this evening!

Personaly I like a bit of footy... didn't have much choice in my former job, the pub had 2 teams & full 20foot screen to watch every game on

But I can't abide Man Utd, not sure when my dislike first started, prob around the time the started to make it big & all the wanna be fans crept out the wood work I reckons.
Anyhoo...been out for a few hours, home & witches PC on.. My FB Home page is awash with sarcastic status's...maybe they havn't got that many fans aftre all

I've never quite understood the seemingly common dislike of Man Utd. Or is it just a dislike for Ferguson? Or their supposed 'home county' supporters? And, no, I'm not a Man U fan.

I don't care what the answer is btw. I doubt it'd help my understanding at all. It's one of those things that make me realise I'm not a Brit, despite what my passport says. A part of the fabric of society or the cultural upbringing that I simply haven't been exposed to in formative years.

So no point in any of us offering any explanations then?

I suspect not, no. I mean, obviously I'll understand the words and what they mean. I just doubt it'll have much resonance for me. But don't let that stop you!

Maybe it's because I don't really do support football in the way that many UK fans do (because I don't understand the backdrop I referred to earlier) but whenever I watch Man U (European fixtures) I'm usually impressed by the way they play and generally impressed by Ferguson's tactical nouse. Wheels fell off today obviously but usually they have an efficiency about them.

Without disrespect to fans of any other team but Man U have consistently been the UK's flagship team for many years now, the standards by which many other teams measure themselves by. Other teams have had their periods in the spotlight, flirted with success, but Man U have maintained it. They've taken over from Liverpool in that respect.

I could not believe that result! Unbelievable.

My lad and I were in the park playing footie and we were talking about what the latest score might be (it was 0-1 to City when we left home).
A bloke overheard us and told us it finished 6-1. I thought he was having us on!

When I used to be into football, it was Ferguson for me. Knowing him I would guess that he declined an interview with Sky today the big baby. He stopped speaking to the BBC years ago, talk about a sore loser lol.

Old Red Nose has been speaking to the BBC again for the past couple of months now.
