I've bottled it the last couple of days.
Last night I got to the door and saw my colleagues scuttling at speed across the car park, coats over their heads... the rain was that heavy, you knew they'd no chance as they panicked getting their car doors unlocked.
There I was, in the doorway, coat in the car, me in a shirt... Bugger, what to do.. How'm I getting to the car?

Light drizzle when I came home this morning, the expected rain seems to have arrived while I was snoring.
Think I'm going to get rather wet later  :rain:

I wonder if Halfords do Arks?

When I woke up, it was raining. I decided that a lie in and a drive would be acceptable.
This turns out to have been the right decisions.

Heavy rain early this morning, broken up by torrential rain late morning, followed by a hint of heavy rain in the afternoon. So for both commutes I reached my destination half man, half sponge. Still fun though as I do like ridiing in the rain. Although I was beginning to think I had one cloud following me all day
The best part was watching all the vehicles plough through the flooded roads and watching the bow wave crash around me whilst being sat just in the wake so the water level was lower on my arrival ^_^
Who said cars and vans have no useful place on the road

It was worth it to see the River Rea. Normally it's a calm stream, Friday evening it like the River Severn in full flow.

Even the "overflow" was a river which I have never seen before.
