Sounds like yello has all the attributes needed to be an upper-class twit. It'd mean wearing tweeds and affecting a silly accent, but that's all.

Puzzle game procrastinator!
I am self employed because I am unemployable. I couldn't possibly have a boss or take orders or meet targets, the thought of having to be somewhere at a specific time, against my will or inclination, like "work", feels me with dread. Sometimes I have horrible dreams about "work" but "work" was 30 years ago, it must still, deep inside, disturb me. I keep waiting for everything to go wrong and have to return to "work", I think that is what causes the bad dreams.
I don't want a 'job' either! I'm not lazy - nobody who is would make thousands of posts on a cycling forum, or spend many hours planning and going out on forum rides. I just haven't found a way of earning a living that suits me.

I think my problem was that I thought I could enjoy a career where people no smarter than me told me what to do. I knew that I wasn't smart enough to be in charge of them, but I also realised that they weren't smart enough to be in charge of me!

I have some sort of attention problem, which got worse after I accidentally gassed myself with carbon monoxide so having to fit in with impossibly tight deadlines isn't a good thing for me to try and do. Deadlines come and go while I am still mulling over the 20 interesting ideas I had while I should have been 'working'.

I just wish I could find a way of getting paid for coming up with ideas and finding faults in other people's! I'm not great at getting things done, but I can spot potential problems at 100 paces.

It's called agreement rather than justification ;)

It is called "agreement" only if there are two parties involved. And I am not the one. So explain (or justify) it to someone who might be interested in agreeing with your status (or ability, or the lack of it even). :cuppa:

I would be bored out of my head without a job. I love my job, to me it's a way to really explore myself and the huge wealth of knowledge out there.

Learning new things keeps me going, while I could do that without a job, it would be nowhere near as satisfying and would have significantly less focus. If I won the lottery tomorrow, I'd go to work on Friday.

It's not like I don't "work" but, I have a certain amount of outgoings. However, if I earn enough to pay them by, say, the 15th of the month, then I don't maximise my good fortune, I look at it as an "opportunity" not to do any more work for the rest of the month. So, I cycle, play out, fanny about, I am world class procrastinator but I enjoy life immensely.

PS I used to work (as in have an office, a suit, company car, name badge etc) and earn a lot of money, but was miserable all the time. I definitely would not like "work" to define who I was. Win the lottery and work? You have got to be joking, there is a world out there!

You are a lucky man, you must love your job ;-)
I do  and I'm very lucky, but I've worked hard to build it.. My career has an exciting future as well which helps. I fell into it by chance, but decided to make the most of every and any opportunity that came along and to work as hard as possible... All of which is easy if its what you love I think.
