If you go to the Haringey council website you will see the original logo, which is about WALKING!

Could somebody have a word with their web developers and point out that a logo to be used online really should not be 24+ megapixels and nearly 9 MB in size!!!

After Boaty McBoatface and doctored photos like this, I am starting to think that marketing knobs are beginning to cotton onto the idea for spreading their message through subverted images. Did someone from the marketing team put out the self-gratifying version knowing it should go viral whilst generating interest in the real, if quite specific and boring original brief?

It's an interesting and entirely plausible theory, and I have no doubt that such things do go on. In this case though, I doubt it. Everything I know about Haringey council leads me to believe they are a bunch of humourless muppets who couldn't come up with something like this in a month of Sundays.
