Been there, read that - did my research ;)
Although its a 4 year old bike, it's had one mid-fifties owner with a bad back (ie stored) and the rest of pics show it to be almost pristine - I will however pocket the Giant UK email address and note that my nearest Giant retailer is a 5 minute walk from my house

Awesome, I just picked up my first fixie today it is a Giant Bowery 2011, the steel version. I rode fixed for the first time today, wow it is different. Hope you enjoy your new bike!

Great bike. I've got the exact same model and after 4 years of every day commuting it is still going strong. Have only replaced the usual brake pads, cables, chain, tyres...the rest still original. BB creaks every now and then. Fitted a cheap clip-on rear mudguard, and occasionally put on the carradice. Never ridden it fixed though, not my cup of tea ;)

Dear Alien8,

I'd forgotten that I had had new forks on my Bowery.

Having said that I absolutely love this bike, ride it all the time all year round ( have done since I bought it in October 2008) and it has hardly cost me a bean. The back wheel isn't quite round though. Put some Schwalbe Marathons on it and just ride.
