I got a speeding ticket

£100 fixed penalty for 76mph in a commercial vehicle on a dual carriageway. Who knew (obvs I should have)? I'm very disappointed with myself - that was a 100% blemish free driving record that was. And only 1mph over the threshold at which I would have been offered a £90 driver re-ed class.

Unfortunate mate, I regularly drive a vehicle limited to 60mph on dual carriageway (the only limit however is my right foot) so when cars and private vans are doing 80/90 it's a real concentrate to stop joining in.
Hope it doesn't get you down too much.

Not sure what the OP was in but my peugeot boxer van is limited to 50 on A roads, 60 on duals and 70 on motorways.
Therefore 76 on a dual feels like cruising speed compared to the rest of the traffic but is 16mph over- not good.
