I'm trying to get a photo of him! He's quite bold - I've put peanuts on my windowsill and a bit of wood to let him get from the garden wall onto the window sill, and he will quite happily sit there eating peanuts with me about two inches away on the other side of the glass! But as soon as the camera appears ... he's off! Even when I tell him to be a good squerl and sit bloody still for two seconds!!

Put the camera on a tripod fairly close to a feeding point. Prefocus the camera and turn off auto focus. Set aperture to blur the background. Use a remote release while sitting warm & comfortable indoors.

One got in my loft. I was sitting at computer and it sounded like an elephant running in the loft! Too heavy for a mouse. There was a very large squirrel sized hole in the black plastic stuff that lines the roof inner.

I was going to get one of those electronic things but haven't had any need recently, maybe he's moved house!

We've got one at work! I work upstairs in a converted house, there are some trees right near our window in the 'back garden', and he entertains me and my boss with his acrobatics. We have birds too, they have a bath in the guttering and you can see the water splashing out. And they eat our grouting, whenever we hear pecking we bang on the window and they bugger off for a while.

I think they believe that if you take their photo it captures their soul. They have been known to fly into fits of rage when people try and take photos of them and destroy the camera. You are probably best to leave well alone
