I may have pulled the radiator off the wall when fitting a carpet. I was using my feet to tension the carpet and press it towards the skirting, whilst holding on to the radiator. The radiator came off.

I had a carpet fitted yesterday, it's quite a big room and it was money well spent as he made a much better job, far quicker than I could have done (although I did wonder how he'd have got the carpet upstairs if I hadn't been there, as he was alone).

depends on the room , if its a n easy box then fair enough im up for it but if you have lots of fiddly shapes then it can be worth paying someone .
