Just thought I'd share that. It's good to have a rant, and I feel compelled to inflict it on you poor CCers
They have been the bane of my life since they moved in about 18 months ago. No longer can I enjoy the peace and tranquility of my own home. I have tried I really have, but my elastic band is about to snap.
Every evening I'm inflicted with some kind of dance music in every single room in my house. I have asked them several times to turn their music down to no avail. Sunday night they had it on ALL night, and it was still going when I left for work in the morning. I get excited when he works away / doesn't come home of an evening.
Right now I have an irrational desire to turn Classic FM on full blast but that would probably be counter productive and very immature.
They also have absolutely no parking whatsoever, not even outside their own house as the road is not wide enough. Still doesn't stop them parking one estate and one VW transporter van outside everyone elses house. I don't mind them parking outside mine so long as they don't obstruct my gate or driveway which they still do. When their friends come over they then park their cars all over the place so you have one house taking up 4-6 spaces on a regular basis.
In an act of retaliation I've parked my car in front of my drive this evening. That means they can only park one of their vehicles in front of my house. They've parked the VW in front of somebody else's house and I overheard him getting shouted at and told that they shouldn't have bought a house with no where to park. Needless to say he has ruffled a few feathers there as he refused to move his van (fair enough, legally he is perfectly entitled to park there as he isn't obstructing any ones drive this time). That made me feel a bit better as at least it's not just me being hypersensitive about it.
I think on Monday I may well get in touch with the local environmental health office and complain about the noise. I've been keeping a log and can demonstrate that I have at least tried alternative methods of resolving this so fingers crossed they will at a minimum assess the situation. I've tried to avoid going down this route as you have to declare any neighbour disputes if you ever sell your house. I've just jolly well had enough!
